Arunodoy Kendra (Common Service Center) are established all over Assam with a view to deliver various G2C (Govt. to Citizen), B2C (Business to Citizen) & Utility Services to the citizens of rural areas under National E-Governance Plan. The project was launched on 3rd September, 2008 at Guwahati by Hon'ble Chief Minister of Assam Mr. Tarun Gogoi and IT Minister Mr. Himanta Biswa Sarma.
In Assam a total of 4375 CSC are being established by two SCA (Service Center Agency) namely SREI Sahaj E-Village Ltd. & Zoom Developers Pvt. Ltd. under guidance & supervision of a SDA (State Designated Agency) namely AMTRON. Each CSC will be run & operated by a Village Level Entrepreneur (VLE).
SREI Sahaj E-Village Ltd. was selected by the Govt. of Assam to implement the establishment of a total of 2833 such CSCs in 18 Districts of Assam. And remaining CSC are being established by Zoom in other parts of the state.
This site is developed with view to communicate all the VLEs of Assam and share our ideas, business prospects and of course our grievances. Because we believe that the unity of the VLEs has become the most essential thing to bring E-Governance in our state.

Most of our VLEs across the state, who have set up their centers almost a year back, have been suffering from various problems and inconvenience from our SCA. Hence, VLEs of various districts like Tinisukia, Dibrugarh, Jorhat, Golaghat etc. have formed VLE Unions in each Districts to fight for the illegal activities of SREI.
Most of our VLEs are paying House Rents, Electricity Bills and many other expences for running our centers. But without any kind of profitable services, it has become a matter of tremendous mental tense and financial harrasment for most of the VLEs. We feel the pain what you people have developed during the last year. Hence we left no stone unturned to organize our collegues at the same plateform so that we may fight together to eliminate our problems and bring those most desirable services. Therefore, your cooperation and valuable suggestion is highly needed so as to fight for our survival.
We marked our vital problems as follows:
- No any profitable service. Not a single G2C service.
- Low quality Equipment and Material. Unusable for business purposes.
- Price of the Equipments are higher than Market Price.
- Slow Internet Speed.
- Downtime of Portal is more than 50%.
- Illegal collection of Rs. 500/- per month as license fee.
